How do I count my steps?

  1. Track your activity for each day and convert it to steps. Convert activities into steps using this chart*. Do this for all of your activities for the day to add up your total steps, and enter this into the the Step Challenge Form.
  2. Track your steps throughout the week. Other ways to track steps: use your own pedometer or download a free pedometer application for your phone. We like MapMyRun and MapMyRide, but there are many others, too.
  3. Enter your daily steps in our Step Tracking Form. You can enter each day or enter everything at once at the end of the week.

How to use the step conversion chart: Find your activity and its estimated steps/minute. Multiply time (minutes) x steps/minute for total steps. If you mow the lawn for 30 minutes, multiply 30 minutes by 120 steps/minute. This equals 3600 steps, about half of your daily goal for the challenge.


What prizes can I win from this step challenge?

  • Take at least 7,000 steps each day for 1 raffle ticket per day (up to 7 tickets total).
